The Padma Approach

No two people, circumstances or organisations are identical.

Some come to Padma at a critical turning point, when circumstances demand immediate attention. Others seek guidance before difficulties arise, want to improve their wellbeing or simply aspire to do or be more.

Her work ranges from focused, intensive one-day engagements to weekly sessions and longer-term guidance.

For businesses and organisations, this may involve a single specialist assignment, a bespoke programme or an ongoing advisory relationship.

The nature, intensity and duration of every engagement are determined by the specific needs, circumstances and objectives, following an initial conversation.

Four Decades of Professional Experience and Education.

Padma’s professional life has taken her through the fast-paced, demanding worlds of international business, aviation, television, media, entertainment, hospitality, travel and wellness.

She has worked as an employee, employer, business partner, co-owner, founder and entrepreneur.

These experiences have included senior leadership, management and communication roles in high-pressure international environments.

She understands the demands of responsibility, the complexities of professional relationships, the pressures of performance and the realities of making difficult decisions.

Her work has brought her into contact with people from different cultures, backgrounds, professions and walks of life.

From international boardrooms and demanding commercial environments to the everyday realities of working life, she has experienced business and human relationships from many perspectives.

This breadth of experience informs her understanding of the personal and professional challenges people face, whether they are leading organisations, building careers, managing relationships or navigating important decisions.

A Lifetime of Learning

Padma’s education spans countries, cultures and disciplines, bringing together mainstream academic study with extensive exploration of traditional, contemporary and alternative approaches to wellbeing.

From India and the Himalayas to Japan, Australia, Europe and the United States, she has studied human wellbeing across its physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual dimensions.

Her learning has extended beyond academic institutions to include direct experience with spiritual teachers, thinkers and practitioners from different traditions.

Among those who have influenced her learning and understanding are His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Mother Teresa, Louise Hay, Dr Deepak Chopra and the Shankaracharya.

Her studies have been recognised at doctoral level in Holistic Wellness.

Learning remains a lifelong pursuit, and she continues to share that knowledge through writing, lectures, workshops, masterclasses and conversations with audiences across generations and professions.

Roots & Heritage

Padma was born in Kerala, South India, and raised within a traditional spiritual and holistic lineage, grounded in her family’s Vedic Sivananda tradition.

This inherited knowledge has remained an important foundation throughout her life, influencing her understanding of human wellbeing, the relationship between mind and body, and the spiritual dimensions of everyday living.

Her later life has been equally shaped by international education, professional experience and decades of cosmopolitan living.

Having lived and worked across different countries, cultures and generations, including a cross-cultural marriage to an Englishman, she brings both Eastern and Western perspectives to her work.

Life Beyond Professional Achievements

Professional experience is only one part of understanding people.

Padma has also lived the many roles and responsibilities that shape a personal life.

She has been a daughter, sibling, wife, mother, widow and single parent to a young adult.

Her life has included love, family, friendships, opportunities, achievement and success.

It has also included uncertainty, stress, disappointment, profound loss and major transitions.

She understands that circumstances can change unexpectedly, that life does not always follow the plans we make, and that rebuilding can require considerable strength, patience and courage.

She has had to adapt, reassess priorities, make difficult decisions and begin new chapters herself.

These experiences have deepened her understanding of the human condition and the different ways people respond to life’s circumstances.

They have also reinforced her belief in the importance of being heard, understood and respected without judgement.
